In addition, we have an indoor large motor play room and an outdoor learning area.  Hot meals and snacks are prepared daily by our on-site cook.

Educational Philosophy
At Little Eagles, we recognize children as unique individuals.  We support each child in her/his stage of development and with her/his needs and interests. To accomplish this, we create play-based emergent curriculum that will be used as tools to observe children closely in culturally diverse classrooms in which mutual respect and understanding are emphasized. Children at Little Eagles are also encouraged to value teamwork, interdependence, and group harmony.

Teachers and Curriculum
Our teachers serve as guides and facilitators of learning and believe young children learn best when:

-They are interested in what they are doing,

-They have readily available adult support,
-They are involved in hands-on activities, and
-They are introduced to new activities that build on what they already know.

“Little Eagles takes advantage of its central location for lots of enrichment activities, including trips to the Public Library, Pike Place Market, and International District. Even the infants enjoy buggy rides on nice days, while the older children might hop on the bus to buy ingredients for lunch at Uwajimaya or head up to Volunteer Park. As a parent, it's gratifying to see my little one learning and challenged each day.”—S.D. 2009

We are licensed for 85 children in our center, which expires on September 10, 2010.*
